30th Signal Battalion Unit Crest (Fortiter Et Strenue)

Unit Crests, officially known as Distinctive Unit Insignia, are exclusive emblems for each U.S. Army unit, commonly referred to as "Unit Crests" by Soldiers. The design is derived from the authorized coat of arms for a unit. All personnel within the organization wear the insignia, except for general officers, the Sergeant Major of the Army, and the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman. Enlisted personnel position unit crests on the green service uniform coat, while officers place them on the shoulder loops of the Class A uniform, each with specific guidelines for alignment and placement.
