242nd Ordnance Battalion Unit Crest (Fast Tough Efficient)

The distinctive unit insignia (DUI) worn by the 242nd Ordnance Battalion features the motto "Fast Tough Efficient." Based out of Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the battalion was originally designated for the 242nd Maintenance Battalion, as symbolized by the calipers and wrench. However, it was redesignated in 2005 for the 242nd Ordnance Battalion. Unit crests are worn on both the Army Class A Service Green and the Army Service Uniform (ASU).
