240th Regiment Maine National Guard Unit Crest (Semper Primus Et Fidelis)

Unit Crests, also referred to as Distinctive Unit Insignia, are individual to each unit in the U.S. Army and are derived from the unit's authorized coat of arms. All personnel within the unit, except for general officers, the Sergeant Major of the Army, and the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman, wear these insignias. Enlisted personnel center the unit crests on the shoulder loops of the green service uniform coat, while officers align the crest with their grade insignia on the shoulder loops.
