United States Army 20th Engineer Battalion Unit Crest (Condite Et Pugnate)

The unique unit emblems known as Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI) are proudly displayed by members of the 20th Engineer Battalion. Their motto, "Condite Et Pugnate," translates to "Build and Fight." Initially sanctioned in 1941 for the 20th Engineer Regiment, these insignia were later reapproved in 1951 for the 20th Engineer Combat Battalion and ultimately for the 20th Engineer Battalion in 1956. These distinctive unit crests are a part of the official attire on both the Army Class A Uniform (Greens) and the Army Service Uniform (ASU).
