1st Information Operations Battalion (Right) Unit Crest (Custodia Indicium Ausum)

The distinctive unit insignia (DUI) is worn by the 1st Information Operations Battalion. Their motto, "Custodia Indicium Ausum," translates to "Protection Information Exploitation." The black knight chess piece symbolizes Psychological Warfare, the red dragon denotes Information Warfare, and the blue knight's helm suggests the protection of the information domain. Approved in 2007, this DUI is worn on the Army Class A Service Green and Army Service Uniform (ASU).
