196th Regiment Unit Crest (Nunc Et Semper) 

Distinctive Unit Insignia, commonly referred to as Unit Crests, is distinct for each U.S. Army unit, originating from the authorized coat of arms. Worn by all personnel within the organization, excluding general officers and specific senior leaders, enlisted personnel affix them to the shoulder loops of the green service uniform, while officers center them on their shoulder loops. The Class A uniform does not permit enlisted personnel to wear the crest. Officers maintain an equidistant alignment from the inside edge of their grade insignia to the outside edge of the button, with the base facing the outside shoulder seam.
