17th Engineer Battalion Unit Crest (We Pave the Way)

Unit Crests, officially referred to as Distinctive Unit Insignia, are exclusive emblems for each U.S. Army unit. Derived from the authorized coat of arms, all unit members, excluding high-ranking officers, proudly wear these insignias. Enlisted personnel affix unit crests to the green service uniform coat's shoulder loops, while officers center them on the loops, aligning with their grade insignia. The Class A uniform doesn't permit enlisted personnel to wear the crest. Officers center the crest on shoulder loops, equidistant from their grade insignia, on both uniforms.
