Air Force Good Conduct Mini Medal
The Air Force Good Conduct Medal (AFGCM) is awarded to enlisted personnel of the U.S. military (excluding U.S. Air Force personnel post-2006) who complete three consecutive years of "honorable and faithful service," indicating a standard enlistment without non-judicial punishments or disciplinary infractions. If an offense occurs, the three-year requirement resets. Instituted on June 1, 1963, it was discontinued in October 2005 with the rationale that good conduct is presumed standard. Additional recognitions are represented by oak leaf clusters.
