118th Field Artillery Regiment Unit Crest (Nescit Cedere)

This is the Unit Crest of the 118th Field Artillery Regiment, worn on the Army Dress Blue (ASU) Uniform. The unit's motto, "Nescit Cedere," is inscribed across the bottom scroll. The main design features a red shield, representing artillery, with a grey X symbolizing the unit's Civil War service for the Confederacy. Additionally, the lion symbolizes service during the Revolutionary War, and the fleur-de-lis represents European service in World War I.
