The Oak Leaf Cluster device is exclusively administered by the U.S. Army and Air Force, serving as a prestigious indicator of subsequent awards for specific military decorations, excluding Department of Defense awards. Each Oak Leaf Cluster represents additional decorations earned, with Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters awarded for the second and subsequent honors. A single Silver Oak Leaf Cluster is awarded to recipients who achieve six awards for a particular decoration, replacing five Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters.
