Bronze Antarctica Device

The Antarctic Device, commonly referred to as the 'Wintered Over' Device, is an esteemed recognition awarded by the U.S. military to recipients of the Antarctic Service Medal who have spent one or more winters serving in Antarctica. This device is worn as a disk attachment on the award ribbon, symbolizing the recipient's commitment and service in extreme conditions.

The Antarctic Device comes in three variations: a bronze disk to signify one winter of service, a gold disk for two winters of service, and a silver disk for three or more winters of service. This prestigious award highlights the dedication and resilience of service members who have bravely endured the challenges of wintering over in Antarctica.
