422nd Signal Battalion Unit Crest (Battle Born)

This item represents the unit crest, or distinctive unit insignia, of the 422nd Signal Battalion. The unit's motto, "Battle Born," is inscribed along the bottom of the design, also serving as the state motto of Nevada, the unit's base. The silver star and laurels are adapted from the shoulder insignia of the Nevada Army National Guard. The colors orange and white signify the unit's Signal designation. Every unit member proudly wears these insignias, except for specified high-ranking officials. Such unit crests are worn on both the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and Army Service Uniform (ASU).
