249th Signal Battalion Unit Crest (Get the Message Through)
Unit Crests, also identified as Distinctive Unit Insignia, are specific to every U.S. Army unit and originate from their authorized coat of arms. They are worn by all personnel except for general officers, the Sergeant Major of the Army, and the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman. Enlisted individuals place the crest on the green service uniform coat, centered on the shoulder loops, while officers align it with their grade insignia on the shoulder loops.
