1st Maintenance Battalion Unit Crest (First to Maintain)
Distinctive Unit Insignia, often referred to as Unit Crests, are distinct for each U.S. Army unit and originate from the authorized coat of arms. Worn by all personnel in the organization, excluding general officers and specific senior leaders, they are centered on the green service uniform for enlisted personnel and on the shoulder loops for officers. Enlisted individuals are prohibited from wearing the crest on the Class A uniform. Officers align the crest equidistant from the inside edge of their grade insignia to the outside edge of the button, with the base facing the outside shoulder seam.
