Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Medal w/ Palm Ribbon
The Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Medal, awarded by South Vietnam, acknowledges valor and gallantry in active combat against enemy forces. It comes in four degrees, each represented by a specific device on the medal. The Gallantry Cross with Palm signifies an individual award before the Army, Gallantry Cross with Gold Star denotes a Corps citation, Gallantry Cross with Silver Star signifies a Division citation, and Gallantry Cross with Bronze Star indicates a Regiment or Brigade citation. Higher-ranking devices replace lower-ranking ones, and wearing multiple devices simultaneously is not permitted.
