Silver Good Conduct Five Knot Device
Good Conduct Knots, or Loops, are prestigious U.S. Army attachments awarded to recognize multiple decorations of the Army Good Conduct Medal. Worn on both the medal and ribbon, these clasps are available in bronze, silver, and gold, each featuring knot emblems that display the total number of awards received. A bronze clasp with two knots is awarded for a second decoration, with an additional knot added for each new award. At six awards, the bronze clasp is replaced by a silver clasp with one knot, and at eleven awards, a gold clasp with one knot replaces the silver, highlighting a soldier’s ongoing commitment and exemplary service.
