Sapper Class A Tab - Red / Red Trim

The Sapper Tab is awarded to U.S. Army soldiers who complete Sapper School. It measures 2⅝ inches by 11/16 inch, with a 1/8 inch red border and "SAPPER" in white letters. The woodland version features an olive drab background with black letters, while the desert version uses a khaki background and spice brown lettering.

Army tabs are unique patches worn above shoulder insignia to showcase specialized skills or qualifications. Some, like the Sapper Tab, are permanent and may also have metal versions for dress uniforms. Others are unit-specific and worn only during assignment. These tabs symbolize expertise and dedication in the U.S. Army.
