Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Mini Medal

The Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (NCM) is a decoration conferred by the United States Department of the Navy upon members of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps for exceptionally heroic acts, outstanding achievements, or commendable service not recognized by a higher award. If the medal is awarded for actions during active combat, the "Valor" or "V" device may be worn. Additional awards are indicated by silver and gold stars on the ribbon.
