Navy Expeditionary Mini Medal

The Navy Expeditionary Medal (NEM) is awarded by the United States Navy to acknowledge members who landed on foreign shores and engaged in operations against enemy forces or participated in missions deemed worthy of the award by an authority. It is retroactive to February 12, 1874. The Navy Expedition Medal and the Armed Forces Expedition Medal cannot be awarded for the same event, and service members qualifying for both must choose one. Additional awards are indicated by Service Stars on the ribbon.
