The design of the SSBN pin depicts a silver Lafayette-class submarine adorned with a superimposed Polaris missile and electron rings, symbolizing the formidable armament and nuclear propulsion of the FBM Deterrent Force. Below the submarine, a scroll accommodates up to six service stars, each representing a successful patrol. A gold star is awarded for every completed patrol after the initial one, signifying the pin's sequential numbering. Alternatively, a silver star is bestowed for five successful patrols. Upon reaching twenty successful patrols, the SSBN pin is elevated to a distinguished gold design.
