NATO Non-Article 5 Medal for the Balkans Ribbon

The NATO Non-Article 5 Medal is awarded to honor service members who participated in Operation Joint Endeavour (IFOR) for the Peace Agreement in the Balkans Peninsula or Operation Joint Guard/Operation Joint Forge for supporting a secure environment in the Balkans. Eligibility requires serving for 30 consecutive or non-consecutive days in specified regions between January 1, 2003, and March 29, 2010. This medal can replace NATO medals issued for Operations Joint Forge and Joint Guardian.
