Multi-national Force and Observers Medal Ribbon
The Multinational Force and Observers Medal (MFOM) is a decoration sanctioned by the Director General of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) to acknowledge international military members who served in the MFO, supporting the ceasefire zone between Egypt and Israel post the Yom Kippur War of 1973. The U.S. military authorizes this award for individuals with a minimum of 170 cumulative days of service in the MFO since August 1981 (previously requiring 90 days of service before March 15, 1985, with exceptions for special circumstances). Additional awards are indicated by numerals on the original medal.
