Army Reserve Components Achievement Full Size Medal
The Army National Guard Components Achievement Medal is awarded for meritorious service in the Army National Guard, with additional recognitions indicated by oak leaf clusters. As of March 28, 1995, the qualifying service period was reduced from four years to three years. The medal is also open to officers up to the rank of Colonel. Established in 1972, it is similar to the Regular Good Conduct Medal, which is for active duty service, while the reserve counterpart is granted for reserve duties, such as drill and annual training. The Armed Forces Reserve Medal is a similar decoration awarded for 10 years of honorable reserve service, accessible to both enlisted personnel and officers.
