Army Meritorious Unit Citation

The Army Meritorious Unit Award (MUC, MUA) is presented to United States Army units that exhibit outstanding meritorious conduct in fulfilling their duties for a minimum of 6 months during conflict with an armed adversary. Although service in a combat zone is not mandatory, their contributions must be directly linked to the combat effort. Additional recognitions of the award are indicated by the inclusion of an Oak Leaf Cluster on the service ribbon.
