Armed Forces Reserve Medal Ribbon

The Armed Forces Reserve Medal (AFRM) is awarded to individuals completing 10 years of service in a Reserve or National Guard component of the U.S. military. This service can accumulate over a 12-year span. Voluntary recalls and inactive reserves service are not included. The AFRM is also granted to members mobilized to active duty, waiving the 10-year benchmark. The Mobilization device is attached in such cases. It's a service-wide decoration for enlisted personnel and officers in all military branches.
