Air Force Achievement Mini Anodized Medal

The Air Force Achievement Medal (AFAM) is granted to junior Air Force personnel for outstanding achievements or meritorious service that doesn't meet the criteria for the Commendation medal. Typically awarded to officers below the rank of O-4 and enlisted personnel below E-7, it is given at the discretion of local commanders, including in non-combat meritorious service. The AFAM recognizes the contributions of junior officers and enlisted personnel, serving as a lower-tier meritorious service medal compared to others like the Commendation or Meritorious Service Medal.
