42nd Field Artillery Battalion Unit Crest (Festina Lente)
This emblem represents the unit crest or distinctive unit insignia for the 42nd Field Artillery Battalion, previously organized as a regiment. Unit crests are part of the attire for the Army's Dress Blue (ASU) uniform. Distinctive Unit Insignia, or Unit Crests, unique to each U.S. Army unit, are attached to the shoulder loops of the green service uniform, worn by all personnel except general officers, the Sergeant Major of the Army, and the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman. Officers center the unit crest on shoulder loops, aligning it with their grade insignia on the outside edge of the button, restricted from wearing them on the Class A uniform.
