426th Regiment Unit Crest (Aeternus Vigilantis)

This item is the unit crest, also known as the distinctive unit insignia, of the 426th Regiment. The unit's motto, "Aeternus Vigilantis," is inscribed across the bottom scroll and translates to "Eternal Vigilance." The color blue symbolizes the Infantry Corps, while the interlaced bands represent the consolidation of disparate units into the Regiment. At the top of the design, the badger signifies the state of Wisconsin, where this unit is stationed. Every member of the unit proudly wears these insignias, except for specified high-ranking officials. Such unit crests are worn on both the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and Army Service Uniform (ASU).
