421st Regiment Unit Crest (Sobre Todo)

This item represents the unit crest of the 421st Regiment. The unit's motto, "Sobre Todo," meaning "Above The Rest," is inscribed at the bottom of the design. The depiction of mountains and a mushroom cloud references the unit's history as the 221st Artillery in Nevada, one of the earliest National Guard units to engage in atomic exercises. Every unit member proudly wears these insignias, except for specified high-ranking officials. Such unit crests are worn on both the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and Army Service Uniform.
