279th Cavalry Regiment Unit Crest (Movin' On)
Unit Crests, also referred to as Distinctive Unit Insignia, are distinct to every U.S. Army unit and originate from approved coat of arms. They are worn by all personnel except for general officers, the Sergeant Major of the Army, and the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman. Enlisted personnel position the crest on the green service uniform coat, centered on the shoulder loops, while officers wear it in the same manner on the shoulder loops of both the green service and Class A uniforms.
