228th Signal Brigade Unit Crest (Strength in Electronics)

The emblem displayed here represents the 288th Signal Brigade, featuring its motto "Strength in Electronics". Unit Crests, also referred to as "Distinctive Unit Insignia," are unique to each U.S. Army unit and derive from their official coat of arms. All personnel, except general officers, the Sergeant Major of the Army, and the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman, wear them. Enlisted personnel affix them to the green service uniform coat, while officers place them at the center of the shoulder loops on their uniform jackets.
