18th ADA (Air Defense Artillery) Group Unit Crest (Defense in Depth)
Unit Crests, officially known as Distinctive Unit Insignia, are exclusive emblems for each U.S. Army unit, derived from the authorized coat of arms. All assigned personnel, except high-ranking officers, the Sergeant Major of the Army, and the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman, wear the insignia. Enlisted personnel affix unit crests on the green service uniform coat's shoulder loops, centered equidistantly from the outside shoulder seam to the button's edge. Enlisted individuals cannot wear the crest on the Class A uniform. Officers center the crest on shoulder loops, equidistant from their grade insignia, on both uniforms.
