189th Aviation Battalion Unit Crest (Sounds of Freedom)
Unit Crests, officially known as Distinctive Unit Insignia, are unique to each U.S. Army unit, derived from authorized coat of arms. Worn by all personnel within the organization, excluding general officers, Sergeant Major of the Army, and Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman. Enlisted wear them centered on the green service uniform, while officers center them on the shoulder loops. Not allowed on Class A uniform for enlisted. Officers align them equidistantly from inside edge of their grade insignia to the button's outer edge, with the base toward the outside shoulder seam.
