174th ADA (Air Defense Artillery) Regiment Unit Crest (Caveat Oppugnator)
Distinctive Unit Insignia, or Unit Crests, are unique to each U.S. Army unit, derived from the authorized coat of arms. Worn by all personnel within the organization, except general officers and specific senior leaders, enlisted personnel place them on the shoulder loops of the green service uniform, while officers center them on their shoulder loops. They are not permitted for wear on the Class A uniform for enlisted personnel. Officers align the crest equidistant from the inside edge of their grade insignia to the outside edge of the button, with the base toward the outside shoulder seam.
