170th Military Police Battalion Unit Crest (First in Peace and War)

Distinctive Unit Insignia, known as Unit Crests, are unique to each U.S. Army unit. Worn by all personnel in the organization, except general officers, the Sergeant Major of the Army, and the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman. Enlisted personnel attach them to the shoulder loops of the green service uniform, while officers center them on their shoulder loops. Enlisted personnel are not allowed to wear the crest on the Class A uniform. Officers align the crest on the shoulder loops, equidistant from the inside edge of their grade insignia to the outside edge of the button, with the base toward the outside shoulder seam.
