United Nations Korean Service Medal Ribbon
The United Nations Service Medal for Korea, or simply the United Nations Service Medal, is a global decoration awarded by the United Nations to military personnel who contributed to the Korean War from June 27, 1950, to July 27, 1954. This historic award, the first of its kind, recognizes the multinational efforts in defending South Korea against North Korea. Initially named the United Nations Service Medal, its designation was changed on November 22, 1961, to differentiate it from subsequent UN mission medals.
