Vietnam Campaign With Date Bar Mini Medal
The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal (VCM, VNCM) was a distinction awarded by South Vietnam to acknowledge the service of allied forces during the Vietnam War, requiring a minimum six-month deployment. Those wounded, captured, or killed in action received the medal automatically, irrespective of the duration of service. The "1960 Bar" device accompanied the medal, signifying the years of the war. With the fall of South Vietnam in 1975, the absence of a specified end date for the bar reflects the cessation of the government.
