Philippine Independence Medal Ribbon

The Philippine Independence Medal (PIR) is bestowed by the Republic of the Philippines to honor military personnel who participated in various Philippine operations during World War II. To qualify, recipients must have previously received both the Philippine Defense Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal. Additionally, eligibility requires active duty service in the Philippines after July 4, 1946.
