Outstanding Airman of the Year Ribbon

The Outstanding Airman of the Year Ribbon is a recognition from the United States Air Force, presented to each of the 12 airmen chosen annually for the Outstanding Airman of the Year Award. Established in 1968, the recipient is permitted to wear the Outstanding Airman badge for a year, and the ribbon becomes a permanent addition to their awards rack. Additional honors are signified by attaching a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster device to the service ribbon.
