Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Mini Medal

The Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal (NAM) is bestowed by the United States Department of the Navy upon Navy and Marine Corps service members for commendable performance in routine duties or outstanding achievements not acknowledged by higher awards. Originally designed to honor junior members ineligible for the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal or the Meritorious Service Medal, additional awards are indicated by silver and gold stars worn on the ribbon.
