Navy Expeditionary Full Size Anodized Medal

The Navy Expeditionary Medal (NEM) is bestowed by the United States Navy to acknowledge individuals who have landed on foreign shores and engaged in operations against enemy forces. Eligibility may extend to those who served in missions deemed deserving of this award by relevant authorities. The medal is retroactive to February 12, 1874. Note that the Navy Expedition Medal and the Armed Forces Expedition Medal cannot be awarded for the same event, and service members eligible for both must choose their preferred medal. Additional awards are indicated by Service Stars on the ribbon.
