Naval Reserve Sea Service Ribbon
The Naval Reserve Sea Service Ribbon (NRSS) is a distinction conferred upon United States Navy Reserve members. To meet the eligibility criteria, reservists must fulfill a cumulative 24-month tour on a U.S. Navy Reserve Ship, or Navy Reserve staff members must spend at least half of their reserve drill engaged in qualified underway drills. Reservists are ineligible if called up to active duty, as they then qualify for the Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. Accomplishments beyond the initial award are acknowledged by wearing a Bronze Star device on the service ribbon.
