Marine Corps Security Guard Ribbon
The United States Marine Corps Security Guard Ribbon is conferred upon USMC personnel in recognition of their service as U.S. Embassy Guards. Established in July 1997, the award holds retroactive eligibility to January 28th, 1949, provided the service member served a full 24-month tour as an Embassy Guard. Extra awards are indicated by a Bronze Service Star device on the ribbon. Retroactive recipients receive a one-time presentation without additional devices.
