Joint Service Commendation Medal Ribbon

The Joint Service Commendation Medal (JSCM) is awarded by the United States Armed Forces to individuals serving as seniors on a joint military staff. It recognizes exceptionally heroic acts, outstanding achievements, or commendable service not acknowledged by a higher award. If awarded for an event during active combat, the "Valor" or "V" device can be worn with the medal. Additional awards are indicated by Oak Leaf Clusters on the service medal.
