Joint Meritorious Unit Award Ribbon

The Joint Meritorious Unit Award (JMUA) is bestowed upon units of the United States Armed Forces in recognition of outstanding meritorious service in joint operations. Established in June 1981, the award is retroactive to January 23rd, 1979. It holds the organizational equivalent status to the Defense Superior Service Medal.
