Fleet Marine Force Ribbon
The Fleet Marine Force Ribbon (FMF) is a United States Navy award that signifies an eligible Navy service member, be it enlisted or officer, has achieved the Fleet Marine Force designation. Introduced in 1984, the ribbon aimed to identify Navy personnel serving with qualified Marine Corps deployable units. Although rendered obsolete on October 1, 2006, with the establishment of the Fleet Marine Force Enlisted Warfare Specialist and Fleet Marine Force Qualified Officer Insignia, it is still authorized for wear if previously earned.
