Commandants Letter of Commendation Ribbon
Criteria: The Commandant's Letter of Commendation Ribbon (CGCLC) is bestowed upon any member of the United States Coast Guard who has received a Commandant's Commendation Letter. Established in 1979 by Admiral John B. Hayes, the award holds retroactive recognition to August 12th, 1921, dating back to the issuance of the first letter by Admiral William E. Reynolds.
