Coast Guard Sea Service Ribbon

The Coast Guard Sea Service Ribbon (CGSSR) is awarded to U.S. Coast Guard members who complete over 12 consecutive months of sea duty on a Coast Guard Cutter or are attached to a Fleet Training Group. Instituted in 1984, additional achievements are denoted by attaching a Bronze Service Star to the service ribbon.
