Coast Guard Good Conduct Full Size Medal
The Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal (CGGCM) is awarded to enlisted Coast Guardsmen for three consecutive years of honorable service, devoid of disciplinary actions. If an offense occurs, the three-year period restarts from the offense date. Established in 1923, it is one of the Coast Guard's oldest awards. Initially, additional awards were indicated by enlistment bars, but in 1966, this was replaced by bronze star devices.
