Coast Guard Good Conduct Full Size Anodized Medal
The Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal (CGGCM) is awarded to enlisted Coast Guardsmen for three consecutive years of honorable service, devoid of disciplinary actions. If an offense occurs, the three-year period restarts from the date of the incident. First issued in 1923, the Good Conduct award is one of the Coast Guard's oldest honors. Initially, subsequent awards were indicated by enlistment bars, but in 1966, this was revised, and additional awards are now represented by bronze star devices.
